Catching up on ze newspeppers

Taveling is great at times but makez it vereee hard to keepz up wid whatz goin on round the home place.

Just read the story about King Eric the Spoiled handing Fayette County back to the Sherreef on a platinum platter. He now hopes thingz will be better and the sherreef will hold no hard feelinz.

Why the heckamadoodle should the sherreef have hard feelingz? He got his way. Everything is back to the way it wuz before the lawsuits and therz no oversite on him at all. Why'd he do what he did in the first place? Why did he all of a sudden stop taking in bad ass people the marshal's arrested? What was the point? To my way of thinking he must have something to hide so he went on the attack. 28 yeeerz of nobody watching or saying stop and having millions of dollars to play can lead to feeling like you can do whatever you want and let you justify doing whut everz you want. I think Dunn and the board were getting a little to close to some kind of something sticky and the sherreef capitalized on a situation and made it work for him.

Now the sherreef has all his fokz on the Board doing his bidding.

Bet he wuz shocked when Smith voted not to drop the lawsuits. Well maybe not cause I heard from some fokez who wuz there that the sherreef told one of the reporters BEFORE the guys even came out of the PRIVATE meeting that it wuz going to beez a 3 to 2 vote. So muchez for executive meetings being private priveledged like they're suppozed to be.

And if you think that three elected types can't get together without calling it an open meeting isn't easy to get around legally you're head is in the sand. One commissioner calls or meets with another. Then he meets or calls a different one. Then he calls the original guy back. Voila you have a three some without the three someones ever meeting together. So much for the law.

If you ever wants to know whatz being done in those executive meetings go sit near the Frady in Melears.

So, the sherreef now rules the roost. I heard that whenz Eric the mean came out of the PRIVATE meeting that he smiled and nodded to the sherreef to let him know the dastardly deed had been done.

I wonder how long itz going to take the sherreef to find this blog and come after little (well, I am rather bulky anymore) old me. He has all that grand equipment we taxpayers have bought that allows him to go chasing down ip addresses and tap into computers. I don't doubt this blog couldn't be traced back to my hotel room in Indianna right as I write.

Hey sherreef, I'm just a speculatin out here in blogland and passing on what I hear on the streetz of our fair county.

Frady

Wuts with Frady? He sez in the newspaper that he didn't want the Chairman seat. EVERYBODY, and I does mean EVERYBODY, whoz ever been round him for long knows he covets that seat. If he didn't want it how come he dressed up so nice for that first meeting and had his picture taken in the Chairmanz Chair before everyone got there? I double dawg dare the reporterz or photograferz who took that photo to use it. Unfoe-tunaterly I didn't get to be at that first meeting and I missed the fun. I heard that he wuz shocked for a moment when his buddy didn't second the Rude's nomination.

And what kind of nomination wuz that anyway? All the Rude said was that Herb had been in office the longest. Whoopdedoo. How long did he sit up at night to come up with that not even to lame caliber endorsement? Hey, he's managed to slide by for longer than anyone else cause he never done anything so I think he needs to be top dawg in the county and lead us. Oh yeyah that's inspiring.

Know whut I thinkz? Me thinkz that Eric the Rude and his buddy's concocted the whole thing so Eric could get out of his promise to support Herbie for the Chair. He musta called Half-track-Horgan in a dither hoping he'd go along with the plan.

Whut wez a wondering is ifn Herb knows he was backstabbed.

I don't even think he saw this one coming. The master manipulator has been out manipulated. Whut goez round comez round and itz all coming home to roost. I'm going to be watching for fireworks to come because Eric ain't going to do nuthing that Frady wants him to do unless he wants to do it so it ain't going to be longz before everyone is scrabbling around.

Sheriff's race already starting

Little birdies are already talking about Thomas Mindar in 2008 for Fayette County Sheriff, . He works for the Sheriff, no idea how long. Worked for the Fayetteville puleeze Dept. afore that.

He's the guy who (at least accordin' to the big bad Citizen) tossed City Councilman Brewer's granddaughters pot pipe into the woods after pulling her over. Here, you can read about it for urself: http://thecitizennews.com/archive/main/archive-050615/fp-02_coverup.html. Nelms is a bulldog when he gets into a story. After the story all of sudden Nelms was no longer covering anything much in Fayette County, started covering Union City.

Anyone out there in blogland know anything about this guy? He might be running sooner than that if stuff starts comin' out about the Sheriff.

Predictions

Hey folks, don't know anyonz cares a bit but I been travelin and have missed a whole buncha bloggin. I wrote my predictions and sent em to the newspaper but they didn't get there, bounced. I was ticked thinking I spent all that time writing these things and they didn't want them. Thats the drawbacks when u're traveling and relying on strange computers and new email accounts. Anywaze, here they be, late but starting out right.

Predictions

Ol’ Herb the Frady is going to miss again on making his biggest wish come true. Hey not-my-buddy, everyone says it’s going to happen for you and your strutting around like a peacock. But I don’t think you’re going to start the new year in that middle seat. I been wrong before and I just could be wrong again. Frady has stabbed every Commission Chair in the back to get that seat. He’ll have one more chance to get it next year. Watch for more behind-the-scenes kicking and undermining by this seemingly warm and fuzzy smile at you and agree then vote against you guy.

His best new buddy Eric the Rude (or Maxwell the Mean as some call him) will try to hand it to him on a silver platter. It’s all going to hinge on the spineless wonder, Half-track Horgan. (Side note: If the Rude fails to support the Frady, he will no longer be the Frady’s buddy.)

Things are going to go down, down, down.

They’ll kill the lawsuit against the Sheriff. Things will go back to the “good-ol-days” where the Sheriff does whatever he wants. Not sure about Eric the Rude but the other guys all know how he’s ripping the tax payers but they’ll make nice with the sheriff anywaze.

Some superficial changes will be made to make a positive splash at the beginning of the new County Commission regime. Note the word superficial.

The County Commission will either add a public relations person or they’ll switch some job duties around to make it happen. They’re going to want to make sure those superficial changes get reported right so they look good.

Growth is going to increase tremendously. Developers are going to line up for rezonings and we may finally see the end of one-acre minimums in the county once sewer crosses over the lines.

The cities are going to continue to annex, annex, annex and encroach into the county until it’s impossible to see where one city ends and the next one starts.

Like days gone by, the county will acquiesce to whatever the city’s want and more of the county will disappear. Taxes will eventually rise, commercialism will run rampant and traffic will explode.

Crime is already on the rise, increasing. More and more will be moving to outward counties to get away from what is perceived as out-of-control crime growth, following the developers who’re already buying up the land waiting for them to get there.

It’s going to be sign-city. Sign ordinances either won’t be enforced or the teeth will be removed from penalties making enforcement a joke.

Road money will be more difficult to come by. The state will pull any money they can from the county and the new guys will be powerless, unable to stop it cause they won’t even know they’re doing it until it’s gone, gone, gone.

The Sheriff will resign under a cloud after Jordan sues and the dirt rises to the surface.

The “other newspaper” will write nothing but glowing reports of whatever the County Commission does unless it’s so blatant they’re forced to do some real reporting.

Logsdon will be a one-term mayor (no crystal ball needed for that one).

Everyone will discover that former Mayor Brown writes 99% of the negative stuff about Logsdon under a variety of names or through his buddies.

Mayor Sheryl Lee, Tyrone, won’t run again leaving the door open for major changes. There will be a fight for the seat between the old guard and the new.

One of two things will happen regarding the election of the County Commission Chairman. Frady will push for a rotation of chairman (like Coweta) OR he’ll push for changes in the makeup of current voting districts to equalize the numbers and to have countywide elections for the Chairman. This will leave the door open for Representative Fludd to finally get district voting. The first Democrat will be elected to the Board of Commissioners. Fayette County will no longer be one of the few Republican strongholds in the state.

Fayette County will eventually be just another metro county by the time it’s all said and done with. Me? I won’t be here, I’m following the developers trail and getting out of Dodge before it gets ridiculous.
